Five Wineries in One day! Lucky for Mike, Andrea was driving. Actually, it was an interesting day to compare wines from numerous wineries. It helped us developed our tastes for variations within types if wine, as well as, becoming better acquainted with wines that we do and don’t like. One of particular interest was Waterford, which offered wine paired with chocolate tasting.
Local legend (this is to explain the photo): There was a Princess who wanted to marry a common Silversmith. When the king found out he forbade their love and threw the Silversmith into prison. After some time the king started to be concerned about the health of his daughter, as she had stared to grow thinner and pale. So the king proposed a task, which he viewed as impossible. “Create a cup that 2 people can drink of at the same time without spilling a drop.” Inspired by love the silversmith created a cup in the likeness of the princess. Look at the picture and you can see the larger portion of the cup is the princess turned on head from which 1 person drinks from while the 2nd person drinks from a swivel cup that the princess is holding.
