Zambia:
Time: Sept.16 – Oct.1 (16 days)
“The real Africa”, ok so this is really cliché and obviously a very Western person’s perspective of a drastic continent. What we seek to verify is Zambia’s characteristics as safe, welcoming, and limited infrastructure. These first two traits are definitely gems when looking into countries for African travel off the tourist tract, and for independent travelers.
The intention of being in a country that is not developed is to glean appreciation for our modernized world, while learning a life style of patience and flexibility. For example; how can it take “at least” 6 hours to travel by bus only 93 miles or a 1 mile walk at night is unsafe due to wild animals.
This country also has a wealth of National parks. We hope to visit Victoria Falls, South Luangwa, and Lower Zambezi, to see first hand what normally can only be viewed via TV.
